With the utmost love I have in learning, this will be my official attempt to channel my desires through this medium. Enjoy!

News and Politics

I have some bad news. If you’re getting your political opinions from major news organizations and reporters (who although follow some type of script sometimes written by themselves or their organization) you’re taking the opinion of reporter or “analysis” on a given issue. The problem with this is may not be fully aware of how something affects you when someone already tells you what to believe and think. A major news organization would rather have you think that they have done all the research for you and all you have to do is listen and (even with the occasional “voice-of-‘reason’” analysis) accept.

In my insightful opinion (that I share with Jon Stewart) news organizations are lazy and they rely on sensationalism. I know they need views to grow because they’re businesses, but still it’s something that ponder as we move forward.

To the credit of news organizations, they never forget that the people mean everything. A national organization being able to shift or even measure public opinion means a lot to a politician that can very possibly earn a good amount of certain votes.

It is not news to anyone that a politician that there is a positive correlations between most politicians’ TV appearances on favored news organizations and how favorable a poll decides them to be for the the most part. This is were the watchers have to be accountable for something: There are a lot of things that underrepresented on the the news that you’re taking of and figuring out for yourself. However, in the most balanced argument you have to understand that a major news organization cannot and will not report on every “dog that barks” so to speak. It’s just something to keep in mind that they want to put something on TV that casts a big net to get people’s attention whether they agree with what they’re hearing or not.

There was a time that you figured out who was good, bad, and worth a vote through your own research even if it was supported by what you saw in a news report. At this time there are far too many opinions on certain major issues that rely too heavily from the reported information gained from watching major news organizations.

Personal note (what you don’t have to keep in mind) I hate major news organizations when they use their efforts to polarize citizens with issues of the two major political parties by either urging the public to join a chorus of cynics to believe that around every corner you should be convinced that America (or the viewer directly) has an enemy, whether it’s an idea, a person, or a group of people, it’s out to get you and you should hate it everything attached to it or they would have you believe that “in other news” there is something else that you need to support and glorify because it may be presented to you in the form of a blessing and it should be admire and if not…well, you’re the enemy if you could even possibly think otherwise.

***DISCLAIMER***
This is not always the case. My problem with major news organizations isn’t going to make them go out of business anytime soon. If you wanted to hear something positive about the news google it.

Higher education is the most important investment you can make in your future. But it’s also never been more expensive. That’s why President Obama has pushed for historic investments to make college more affordable.
It’s also why we’re so excited to announce that President Obama will hold his first-ever Tumblr Q&A on Tuesday on education and college affordability — moderated by Tumblr’s founder/CEO David Karp. Here. At the White House.
Here’s how you can get involved: Ask your questions on @ObamaIRL, and on Tuesday, President Obama will answer a bunch.

Well, this should be interesting. I already submitted my question.

Tell me if I’m wrong: Break-ups

I haven’t been alive for that long, but through all the people I know and have interacted with and the stories I’ve read about people real and fictional who have fallen in a out of love, I declare my findings on the situations of every break-up there ever was and every break-up that will ever be under only two categories:

Persuasion
and
Mistakes

While we can admit that some mistakes you can make in the beginning or even before a relationship that might cause it to fall apart. For example (to the extreme) you date your cousin. Only after knowing your mistake do you break-up even though the mistake was made how ever long ago you were dating. Also we have to admit that a break-up can on occasion be a combination of both persuasion and mistakes, such as the cases of infidelity (depending on how you define it).

Any questions? Ask away! Otherwise, prove me wrong.
